NGC 3486 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the Leo Minor constellation. It lies about 24.1 million light years from Earth. Like most spiral galaxies, it does have a supermassive black hole in its core. But with a mass equivalent to less than a million suns, the mass of that black hole is less than a fourth the mass of the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.
