Royal Museums Greenwich Astronomy Photographer of the Year Shortlist 2025

007

For almost 20 years, the Royal Museum Greenwich has held a contest for Astronomy Photographer of the Year. A pretigious contest with more than 5,500 entries, it awards one person the title of Astronomy Photographer of the Year. But it also grants awards to winners in various subject-matter categories. As part of the process, it selectes 140 entries from the more than 5,500 submissions to a shortlist. It then publishes a book containing all the winners and shortlist entries. Making the shortlist puts one in rarefied air, regardless of the final outcome, which is announced each September.
