This turned out to be a fascinating area in the Cygnus Constellation. Sh2-111 encompasses the brightest parts of the web stretching out from the upper left. But one of the big surprises was the presence of the planetary nebula—the blue dot just above Sh2-111.

Catalogued as PNG 081.6-17.5, not much is known about this planetary nebula. I could only find one other image that records its presence at all.

A further surprise was the blue arc below and to the left of that. My friend Dana Patchick and I are currently investigating that as a possible new discovery.

I can find no real information on this area, so maybe some day, an industrious graduate student will take it on.
