The Gecko Nebula (LBN 437) is a faint reflection nebula in the Lacerta constellation roughly 1,200 light years away. It’s part of a much larger molecular cloud. It contains a number of Herbig-Haro objects (emissions from young stars or protostars).

Sh2-126, the red material below the Gecko in the frame, is a large emission nebula that is also known as the Great Lacerta Nebula. It’s approximately 1,600 light years away, which would place it a few hundred light years behind the Gecko.
