Index Catalogue (IC)

In 1895 and 1908, John Louis Emil Dreyer published a supplement to his NGC Catalogue that he called the Index Catalogue (redundantly referred to as the IC Catalogue). This covered objects discovered from 1888 to 1907, mostly with photography. It added 5,386 objects to the NGC list.

As with the NGC Catalogue, the IC Catalogue contains a great deal of overlap with other catalogues. Again, I've limited the gallery below only to those IC objects that are typically know by their IC designations.
